The rage filled river emanates its warning to me… still my soul is pulled towards its low merciless rumble… I journey the jagged rocks and outstretched briars… the moonlight is blindfolded by the twisted arms of the forest sentient watchmen…This way is mine alone to take…No reassuring hand… No guiding light…With bruised knees and shredded arms I draw closer… The fierce energy of this dark foreboding one overtakes my being… as it pulses through my air-like body with the ease of wind through sparse leaves…Then I stand at the precipice of my doom….drenched with the mist of definite end…Just me, my tattered soiled clothes, my unhealed wounds, and the blood tainted sweat dripping from my face. Looking down into this black…. Cold water drenched wind from unrelenting forces push at my mind…. I close my eyes…lean forward… Not knowing the outcome… I let myself fall into this unbridled, uncontrolled, entity of certain demise…Fully expecting to be ripped and torn…Instead I am accepted into a calm emerald pool… surrounded by light I am cradled as a mother comforting a newborn child… No rage… No heartless river…This person floating in the pool is not the same person as the one standing over; looking into his death…I am new…Accepting the unknown…No more raging rivers…At least for now.
